A Floating Internal Ferrite Jacket: The Audio 40 cable uses a special floating Zn/Mn Ferrite jacket to absorb very high frequency noise components outside the audible range, which adversely affect the microtiming of the audio signal. The purpose of cables is to replicate the input signal as accurately as possible at the output of the cable. Timing errors mean that frequencies are distorted and the signal sent from your source equipment is not accurately reproduced.
