Excellent mechanical properties, solid construction and the two-piece clamping nut with rotating pressure piece ensure a high contact force and therefore a consistently low contact resistance – the prerequisite for absolutely minimal effects on sound quality.

The elegant design of the terminal clamp is further enhanced by a shiny gold-plated surface that reliably prevents corrosion. IC and IEC compliance is achieved through transparent full Makrolon insulation of all live parts.

Outer connection

A 4 mm banana plug can be connected in the front part of the clamping nut.

The patented WBT tension nut system allows you to make high pressure spade and crimp cable end connections. The cross-milled surface on the underside of the pressure piece ensures a permanently safe connection with an extremely low contact resistance.

It also prevents splitting of cable strands when exposed cable ends are used

Inner connection
Inside, cables with a core cross-section of up to 10 mm² (7 AWG) can be used.
WBT recommends the crimp connection method. You can use the supplied Torx screws and the Torx T.6 wrench to perfectly tighten crimped cable ends.
However, the connections can also be soldered. If you decide to solder, WBT recommends the surface-friendly silver solder WBT-0800

Mounting insulators are included and provide not only insulated, but also twist-proof mounting and polarity identification. Jam nuts, double cam step washers and puzzle plates are also included.

The puzzle plates can be clicked together. This ensures a precise clamping distance of 19 or 30 mm, but above all absolute torsional protection.

The nuts on devices with high intrinsic mechanical vibration levels such as loudspeakers must be additionally tightened – for example with the WBT Serrated Lock Washer WBT-9150.

If a fixed distance of 19 mm is desired, you can use the spacer WBT-9404 and mount the WBT-0735 as a double clamp.

Thanks to the locking slots in the spacer, the inlet opening for the connection cable can be rotated in 45 ° steps.
