Virtues of WBT Plugs and Terminals:

undistorted and low-loss transmission of power and

The conventional "classic" connectors are almost always made of brass or brass
sheet. They certainly fulfill their duties, but not precisely enough.

– The solid connector housing inevitably acts as mass storage,
ie it creates a kind of “capacitor effect” and
– the larger and heavier the terminal, the greater the eddy current.

Both problems cause clearly audible distortions of a non-linear type and are known to be uncorrectable. Those who attach great importance to “high-end” will have to deal with solving this problem.

That's why WBT nextgen™ is different: brass is – independent of being
copper speed – first of all a universal material with ordinary functions, nextgen ™ consists of only functional materials:

For power/signal transfer, a pure soft copper is used – material that is excellent not only in electrical conductivity, but can also be precisely dosed with the right manufacturing process. The metal mass can be reduced by approx. 90%, but with the disadvantage of mechanical stability.
But there is also the power of the hybrid construction.
The high-tech plastic injection molding not only generates a plug body with its mechanics, but also stability of the “soft” signal conductors in a hybrid composition of highly specialized functional materials.

External connection
The clever design of the signal conductor allows a secure termination of cable ends, banana plugs and curled cable ends.

Internal connection
Solder tabs that can be bent by hand if necessary. WBT recommends using silver solder WBT-0800/0805 which is gentle on precious surfaces.

Mounting insulators are included to ensure not only insulated, but also torsion-resistant mounting and polarity identification of the terminals.

In the case of hi-fi devices that are highly exposed to impact noise, such as loudspeakers, it is recommended to use an additional nut lock nut, which is the fluid screw retention LOCTITE 4804.

It is coupled with WBT high-tech plastic and can be removed. In addition, WBT recommends using the WBT-0718.
