Nilsson Schmilsson was Harry Nilsson's commercial breakthrough. But even success did not force the eccentric musician to betray his artistic ideals. On his eighth album, Son of Schmilsson, he made it clear with the opening track, Take 54, that he had no intention of following in the footsteps of his predecessor and holding back in any way. The madcap album is a wild ride through splatter effects, crude jokes and obscenities - which earned the artist a gold award and a Top 40 single with Spaceman. Looking back, Son of Schmilsson reveals defiant genius and raw fun.
Remastered for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab by Krieg Wunderlich with assistance from Rob LoVerde. The double 45 rpm LP is released on 180 gram vinyl in a gatefold sleeve in a limited edition with consecutive serial numbers.
